Theme Talk: Captivating the Peacemaker

As Unitarians and free thinkers, building the world we dream about is one of the foremost parts of our spiritual and true selves. We are called to love and serve others, to bring solace to a hurting world, to seek justice for the marginalized and our earth, to usher in hope. This is our creed and this is captivating the peacemaker.

James Frey Croft asks us, Why are we here? What sort of world do we want? How do we build a better future? James helps leaders and communities answer these questions. About our congregations James says, “ Many of our members are looking for positive messages about how we can live life ethically and how we can make sense of our experience and build community. They don’t always find traditional religious communities speaking to those needs anymore, and so they go to places which do." In the here and now, those walking through our doors are seeking a place where they can build that world we dream about in community. A place of justice, equality, and compassion. As well as clergy, James is a storyteller and activist who inspires and who invites us to reawaken the peacemaker in all of us.
